Instructions on how to set up your Surveyapp Survey Terminal.
Stand Setup
Please set up the stand as per the instructions in the box.
Connect the tablet with the 6′ USB cable and extension power cable.
iPad Setup
Please set up the iPad by following the on-screen instructions.
You will be asked to connect to a network. You may either choose to do this at this stage or you can follow the instructions below, after you have finished initialising the iPad. Please contact your IT department to provide you with network credentials.
Please use your own/ company’s Apple iCloud account if prompted. If you don’t have an Apple iCloud account, you will be able to create one at set up.
Wi-Fi Settings
Tap on the Settings icon.
Tap on Wi-Fi.
Select the Wi-Fi network you have credentials for and enter the network key. Please ensure you are connected to a non-public Wi-Fi network, with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Please contact your IT department to help you with this.
iPad Settings
Launch the Settings app on the iPad.
Tap on General.
Tap on Accessibility.
Tap on Display Accommodations under the Vision section.
Switch Auto-Brightness to Off.
Tap on <Back.
Tap on Guided Access under the Learning section.
Tap the switch to turn on Guided Access.
Tap on Passcode Settings.
Tap Set Guided Access Passcode and set a passcode. Please make a note of this passcode and keep it safe.
Toggle Accessibility Shortcut to On.
Go <Back to the Settings.
Tap on Display & Brightness.
Use the scroller to set brightness to the highest level.
Tap on Auto-Lock.
Set to Never.
Exit Settings by pressing the iPad home button.
Install Surveyapp
Tap on the App Store app.
Tap on the search icon and enter the term ‘Surveyapp’.
The listing for Surveyapp – Smiley Surveys will be displayed in the search results.
Tap on the ‘Get’ button.
You may be prompted for your iCloud password. Type in the password to install the app.
Launch Surveyapp
Tap on the Surveyapp app icon to launch Surveyapp.
Triple click the home button of the iPad.
This will put the iPad into Guided Access mode.
On the top right, tap on “Start”.
Sign-in and Launch your Surveyapp survey
On the Surveyapp Sign-in screen, tap on Already Registered.
Please use the the credentials provided to you by the Surveyapp Team to sign in to Surveyapp.
Once you are logged in, tap on Surveys.
Position Device
Place your tablet in the stand enclosure and lock the enclosure.
Position the stand at the desired location, preferably on the right-hand side of traffic flow, and plug into the power source.
